DIGITAL WORKS
What if life's perfect representation was a mechanical one ? This 2D video shows life as an endless voyage forward into a world of cogs and wheels... A perfect representation ? Maybe, and yet a close look may reveal certain imperfections during the voyage...
This japanese figure of speech, the Haïku, represents nature with a syllabic rythm of 5 - 7 - 5... In this 3D work, flowers represent nature, each flower coming to float in front of our eyes, whilst doing so, another flower is born from the first one, evoking the endless birth and death of nature.
This project conceived for the CAPC in Bordeaux - France, explores through a 3D projection used jointly with an invisible screen - figuring the mirror effect - the limits of our perception of "reality". This digital 3D interactive work aims at representing "art" contrary to "an artistic representation".
Are we capable of sensing that what our left hand does, our right one tends to ignore... In this digital walkthrough installation of light we are cut in two halves, we are only aware of the upper part... Even the perception of our integrity of our own body becomes fragile...
No one will question the "reality" of the 3D experience because our senses are fooled by this illusion... More and more, we live in an immaterial world, which we tend to cherish because it makes our lives easy ! But, in the end, when you pull the plug, the "more than real" T-Rex, vanishes...
A transfiguration of losing oneself in an artifical world composed of an infinity of data, running vertically around you... The temptation of finding pleasure bathed in artificiality. A 3D projection work.
